Regulatory and useful information about the Pension Plan

The Trustee of the Weidmuller UK Group Pension Plan (the Plan) welcomes you to this site that provides information, documents and contact details that you may find useful. Weidmuller Limited (previously known as Klippon Electricals Limited) in the UK has one final pension plan known as the Weidmuller UK Group Pension Plan that is now closed to new members. The H T Electrical Limited and Klippon Electricals Limited pension plans were combined into this Plan in 1991. If you are a member of this Plan and no longer work for the company please keep the Trustee up to date with your contact details such as home address, telephone, marital status and email address.

If you have not yet retired you will perhaps be planning for your retirement. The Weidmuller UK Group Pension Plan is a final salary plan sometimes known as a Defined Benefit (DB) plan. If you have not yet taken your pension/s you can obtain guidance from the Pensions Advisory Service at www.pensionsadvisoryservice.org.uk or by calling 0300 123 1047. Alternatively for Defined Contribution (DC) plans (that you may have from other employers) you can contact Pension Wise, the government’s pension guidance service, at www.pensionwise.gov.uk or by calling 0300 330 1001. Both organisations provide a free impartial service to help you understand your options at retirement.  Alternatively, we would recommend that you may wish to seek independent financial advice.

Upon application to the Trustee you may request an early retirement (as from age 55) or transferring your pension benefits.
